Dear NSPMA Members and Educational Facilities Professionals,

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve on the Board of Directors for the National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA), and an even greater honor to serve as your President.

One of the most remarkable aspects of NSPMA is the network it creates. Our board is made up of dedicated professionals from across the country—from California to Boston and nearly everywhere in between. This organization brings together passionate, like-minded individuals who share a common commitment to improving educational facilities and supporting one another through collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.

Throughout my career, involvement in professional associations has been transformational. I spent more than a decade serving on the Board of Directors for the Kansas Association of Plant Facility Directors, and I can honestly say that organization helped shape me into the leader I am today. The opportunities to learn, build relationships, and serve alongside outstanding professionals elevated my career in ways I never imagined. Engaging with NSPMA took that experience to an entirely different level.

The relationships I have built through NSPMA—with colleagues from across the nation as well as our valued vendor partners—have been invaluable. Each conference brings new ideas, fresh perspectives, and practical solutions that can be applied in our districts and organizations. The knowledge sharing and professional development opportunities available through NSPMA are second to none.

Beyond networking and conferences, NSPMA provides members with access to a wealth of resources, including webinars, grant opportunities, policy and procedure documents, manuals, and educational materials designed to support facility professionals at every stage of their careers. Our mission is simple but critical: to help create safe, clean, comfortable, and effective learning environments for students and staff throughout the United States.
Whether you are an experienced facilities leader, new to the profession, or involved in educational facilities in any capacity, I encourage you to become engaged with NSPMA. You do not have to be involved at the state level to benefit from what our organization offers. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and experience levels who share a passion for creating outstanding learning environments.
